Services

Every referral begins with the individual. We work with the referring organisation, family and learner to understand current needs, risks, strengths and intended outcomes before agreeing the most suitable form of support.

1:1 mentoring

Our core offer is consistent one-to-one mentoring, normally delivered in two-hour sessions over an agreed period. The mentor uses a clear individual development plan to build engagement and work towards agreed personal, social, emotional and educational outcomes. Session content is purposeful but flexible enough to respond to what is happening in the learner’s life.

Early intervention

Early intervention gives a young person focused support before difficulties escalate. DICE can work alongside schools, families and other professionals to strengthen engagement, routines, communication, emotional regulation and positive decision-making.

Alternative provision and re-engagement

For learners who are not currently managing full access to mainstream education, DICE offers structured mentoring and activity that helps rebuild trust, routine and readiness to learn. Where appropriate, we contribute to reintegration planning and work towards sustainable engagement with education, training or adulthood pathways.

SEND and EHCP-informed mentoring

We adapt delivery around the learner’s communication, sensory, emotional, social and educational needs. Relevant EHCP information, risk assessments and professional guidance are considered when planning support. DICE may continue working with eligible young adults up to age 23 where need and funding arrangements support this.

Small-group interventions

Small groups can be commissioned where shared needs are best explored with peers. Content may include identity, relationships, safer choices, communication, teamwork, transitions, confidence and community awareness. Group size, staffing and outcomes are agreed before delivery.

Workshops

DICE can deliver agreed workshops for young people, parents, carers, education staff and professional teams. Themes are tailored to the audience and may include engagement, confidence, communication, boundaries, wellbeing, identity, culture and supporting young people through challenge.

Our Vision is to help them find and see the value in themselves.
